Improving your sleep starts with data! Sleep Cycle Center uses a combination of scientifically accurate screening and at-home sleep testing to get the data needed for a customized treatment plan!
Why an At-Home Sleep Test?
Testing for Sleep Apnea doesn’t have to be complicated! While in-lab sleep tests can test in deeper detail than an at-home test, they don’t offer the same benefits as an at-home sleep apnea test.
When testing for obstructive sleep apnea, the key data points are the interruptions in your sleep caused by a blocked airway. This is measured using Apnea hypopnea Index (AHI) which is how many times your breathing is interrupted while you’re sleeping. These events cause increased heart rate, respiratory disturbances, and more. All of these data points are accurately measured in a comfortable and easy-to-use test worn in your own bed.
Our patients love their tests:
- Convenience: You can conduct the test in the comfort of your own bed, avoiding the need to spend a night in an unfamiliar sleep lab.
- Cost-effective: At-home tests are generally less expensive than full lab tests, potentially reducing out-of-pocket expenses.
- Natural sleep environment: Your home setting may provide a more accurate representation of your typical sleep patterns compared to a lab.
- Less invasive: At-home tests typically use fewer sensors and monitoring devices, which can be more comfortable for some people.
- Reduced anxiety: Some people may feel anxious about sleeping in a lab setting, which could affect test results. Home testing can alleviate this concern.
Online Screening for Sleep Apnea
Our Sleep Assessment Form (or “Sleep Screener”) is over 90% successful at identifying individuals who have sleep apnea but without costing them any medical expense for testing. It takes less than 5 minutes to fill out, is free, and patients receive their results in 48 hours.
Our Screener takes into account numerous attributes that affect a patient’s likelihood of having a sleep disorder:
Current Sleep Disorder treatments
- Sleep Habits
- Sleepiness during the day or inactive periods
- Previous health diagnoses
- Answers to these questions are scored and a Sleep Treatment expert provides a recommended path for treatment, if necessary. Our office will be in contact within 48 hours with next steps!

How Does an At-Home Sleep Test Work?
Sleep Cycle Center uses WatchPAT One testing devices. The device will be provided to you at your initial consultation, and we will walk you through how to use it, sync it to your smartphone, and ensure you get an accurate reading.
While you sleep the WatchPAT will monitor for apnea events and other indications there may be underlying sleep apnea and sync your results to a secure cloud upon completion.
